that answer to that would be none. There is no fish kept in aquariums that are dangerous to humans. Fish cant do anything to people while they are in their fish tank. People consider certain fish dangerous because they so happen to get injured by the fish while the had their hands/arms in the tank and was due more to human stupidity and carelessness.

Now if you broaden that range from fish to other aquatic animals, then yes there are some dangerous ones like say the blue ring octopus which CAN crawl out of your tank.

I am assuming that by dangerous you mean to people and in the wild, if so I would have to say sting rays, the fw bull shark, electric eels, and candiru, all of which have caused human fatalities. The rays and candiru have mainly killed through secondary infections, the eel through drowning while stunned, and the shark just eats you. Piranha have a history of many attacks but no confirmed fatalities that I have seen records of. As for our aquarium fish plotting against us, just be glad they have no thumbs.

Stingrays are considered dangerous because they have spines that are poisonous and a sting will definitely land you a visit to the hospital. Symptoms include but not limited to: swelling, extreme pain and nausea . Ive never heard of a hobbyist dying from a stingray , just from amazon natives who die of infection from a sting.

Stingrays are not aggressive however and they only attack when they feel threatened. If you do not plan on putting your hand in the tank, then keeping them would be safe. There are nets, thongs and other devices that you could use to do maintenance.

Lastly, I suggest buying Barron's Freshwater Stingrays if you want to be armed with the basics before taking care of rays. Well worth is since its not even fraction of a cost of the cheapest stingrays.

How do thongs have anything to do with maitenance?

^ Nice, but off topic. It was all about fish! ^

I think all monster fish, as soon as you start keeping them you will be hooked for live! It can be a serious threat for your relation and social life!! :hitting:

These are both dangerous fish but I consider goliath wolf fish more dangerous than red snakehead, and then there is the goliath tiger fish, there have been reports of attacks on humans.
