Okay, most of us didn't drop $5000 to get a professional fish room. If you're anything like me, you're stalking facebook nabbing free 10g tanks and heaters and using old furniture for stands. So in this chaos, you've improvised lids, lights and more. What are some things you know another fishkeeper wouldn't touch in your fish room that's okay with you for now?
Mine:
Old picture frame glass for tank lids that I haven't sanded down, so they are still sharp.
Nasty dangling powerstrips.
Salvaged lamps and lights that stay put unless you look at them funny, then they lean to the side until you fix them.
Light bulbs over water prevented from falling in but still potentially splashed a little once in awhile.
Stuff stacked in odd piles that seem to have no category, yet I know were at one time placed there with some sort of strategy in mind though I've forgotten the original intent.
Free garbage fish food you use as an occasional filler meal to help stretch the life of your good foods.
Okay, what are yours?
