And I have the emails to prove it. My one and only pump is making horribly loud noises even after replacing the impeller through the warranty. I regularly clean my pump and it is well taken care of. I contacted danner and all they say is to send the pump in. The only way I can do that is to go and spend another $150 on a pump in the meantime. Which I dot think I should have to do since it is their pump that is defective. I have very rude emails from the customer service person saying that I apparently do not care for my fish and that I must not be cleaning it properly. I guess all I can do is replace it and send the defective one in. I am about to just tell them to keep the piece of junk when I can afford to replace it. I can only hope it doesn't completely die in the meantime.

Perhaps you should let them know your situation, ask if they have a loaner, instead of posting your rant...

That's the thing. I told them I cant afford a new pump and they said "we understand your dilemma" and left it at that. An then said that I must not care for my fish if I don't have extra pumps laying around. Excuse me, if your pump worked I wouldn't need an extra one. It broke, replace it and ill give you the broken one.

I've never heard of this company - but asking you to ship the defective one back is normal. They, as a company, can't just give out free loaners. I'm thinking maybe you let your emotions get the better of you before taking a breath.
But, I would be interested in seeing the whole dialogue.

I am sure I did let my emotions get the best of me. Just worried about my fish. The noise isn't that unbearable. It's just annoying and I don't think it should make the noise at all.

That's why I suggested you to ask if they have loaner. They wouldn't just replace it, if they can't verify that the pump is broken and can't be repaired

Some company does lend you loaner (not give)

Noise could be from debris got trapped, or from pump was not mounted properly, cause the impeller touch the casing/shaft. It does not mean the pump is broken. What model do you have? Mag 24 and Mag 36 are noisy!
