Danne Mfg. has horrible customer service

Do you have sand? Sounds like magnet is off balance or impeller housing has debris as stated above ^^^

It's a mechanical part, if its making a loud noise you should be able to break it down and see yourself.

No sand. Pump is a mag 12 housed in my sump after a filter sock and 3 pane baffle. Pump is regularly cleaned (yesterday) there is/was no debris. Return is hard plumbed with 1" PVC and spa flex tubing. When the return is choked back with a ball valve it is noticibly quieter. Of course this lessens flow, so what's the point of a 1200gph pump If I can only run 3-400gph quietly.

The noise could from rattle between pump and tank. Cut a piece of filter fabric and place it between pump and tank, see if it help with reducing the noise.

This is what I do to lessen the hum, vibration on my pump. Thick sponge, with filter pad below.

But there are other causes for noise.
Sometimes just replacing the impeller isn't enough.
If your impeller needed replacing for a while before you noticed, it may not be the only worn part.
The volute may have been damaged, this is drastic damage from a stone.

The pump worked for a while before I noticed, wearing an oval the inner casing, which caused the pump to cavitate (causing a crackling sound), even after the volute and impeller were replaced.

The above pump had worked for at least 10 yrs 24/7 before I replaced it.
Another, a 2400gph was just replaced after 18yrs of 24/7.
Sometimes very fine grit from media breaking down gets into the impeller and wears it away, the 2400 impeller is below, when I took it apart the magnet was peeling away from the grit wear.

I just let it go too long before replacement, and because of that, the inner casing of the pump has also become worn, requiring me to buy a new pump. But I consider 18 yrs a pretty good run.

It is not the hum that is the problem. I too have a thick bead of silicone underneath to cushion the pump. This pump makes a crackling noise. Constantly. Almost as if it is cavitating. But it's not.

off topic but damn nice plumbing and sump ... hope you resolve this.....

Maybe their customer service isn't the greatest, but their pumps sure are. I've owned a few and only had to replace a volute (pump coer) that broke. IMO, danner is the best bang for your buck.
