Dark Jar vs. Light Jar

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thats a nice jar when do they start to get the red on their face??

My Jar is a year and a half years old.

well jar have this pearl irid reflecting scales. under red light they will reflect the red color making them look red. under yellow light making them reflecting yellow off making them looking yellow. so yes their color do varies base on enviroment. but i think when you take them out of the water they look yellowish pearl.

I've heard a little something about blackwater and certain Aro's liking it. I think they have the extract at my LFS but I havent looked into it yet though (any recommendations?). I have a baby jar smaller than yours and they look about the same except for that light pink, I like it. thanks.

get some almond leaves off of ebay. i bought 100 13" leaves for $18.00. at a betta shop, they will sell for a dollar each. just put it in the tank and it will sink within a day or two. but if you have a large tank and change your water often, there's no need to use it.

this is my jar and he have always been light

^ Is that a black crappie i see? If it is, how the hell did u manage to keep the temp on both of their tolerance level? I MUST KNOW!

Mind telling me the current temperature you have on :nilly:? I attempted it by throwing all 5 i caught in my tank with the temp being 84 degrees. 3 of them were eaten by my rtg before i could observe anything, and the other 2 were dead after 3 mins. Not a big lost considering i caught them with the attention of cheap fish food for my aros, but geez i would kill to have them housed in my main tank. help me out! :grinno:

Have you ever had it up at 80 or higher before? And how is your Jardini doing with the temp so low? Sorry for all the questions and derailing but i'm overwhelmed with excitement, thought it was impossible. Ur badass supermanz, you got good taste like me :headbang2
