I'm so bummed out right now. My 90 gallon tall tank sprung a leak about halfway down on one of its silicon seams today. I had to take the whole thing down. Luckily I had room in my other tanks for the fish. I'm not sure if I'd trust myself to re-silicon it. This is what I get for being cheap and buying a used tank :(

nice avatar where did u get the decor?

Spending hundreds more on a "new" tank does not guarentee against leaks.

very true indeed... just silicon it urself...

or have ur wife do it.. they are usually good with arts and crafts lol

I guess to answer those posts, I made the decorations myself just for that tank, and since I'm a woman, does that mean resealing it will be a breeze? Sounds pretty difficult to me.

Scorpon nice one bud!!!:headbang2

Resealing a tank is not very difficult at all. Go buy a razor blade(kind for scraping paint. Remove all silicone, you can use newspaper to rub of the residue left after srcaping. Clean the area with rubbung alchol. Apply a 1/4" bead of silicone and smooth out with your finger. After 24 hours the silicone will cure and you can leak test it.
