dart frog setup

I recently ended up getting a small dart frog off a friend(he wanted to set it lose) have a basic question. do they prefer a tall tank or a longer tank. I have a zoo med 12x12x18 i can use or a 20gal long tank. please let me know so i can start making the cage for this guy

What kind of dart frog is it.. That makes a big difference?

they are diffecult. i have a 10 set up for one. none in it right now because they scare me because of the supposed difficulty. i would rather take a large mean retile then a small sensitive one anyday

they arnt as difficult as people make them out to be, just find out what species you have and do some research. if its an adult you shouldnt have too many issues, if its small finding it food (fruit flys) can sometimes be difficult.

They are not difficult at all once you get the tank set up properly.

Fruit flies are very very easy and cheap to culture.
