Hey all.

Just curious about what kind of darters I'm looking at. Pic sucks I know but if anyone can guess I'd appreciate it

Thank you.

What creek? Around you I'd say a Fantail but if you went a bit north that may actually be a female Tippecanoe.
little hidden place called Jamison run. I found it on google maps one day just messing around. its literally 10 seconds from my house and I never knew it existed. greatest place I've ever collected. First ever pickerel in my area caught there, first madtom I've ever collected and now this darter I've never got before.

Madtoms too? I've got to check this place out sometime!

update:
this is most definitely a fantail, compared between multiple sources/pictures-thanks everyone for the starting points and ID's!

Yup, he's definitely a Fantail since there's very few Tippecanoes in "central-western" PA streams. How's he doing in captivity, eating well? Oh and is it in a tank with vertical (air stone, sponge filter, etc) or horizontal (powerhead or modified HOB) circulation?
