anything else i should look into darter wise?

and also i found a few neat looking rocks and they have moss growing on them is there any way you can clean the rocks and keeping the moss?
 
Were the mossy rocks in the water? If so, just leave the moss on. I wouldn't worry about cleaning them if they're from a reasonably clean stream. If they were out of the water, the moss will probably die and rot when you submerge it.

they where in the water and in the faster moving parts so next time im there il take a few if i like them. thanks


and as far as pictures goes i dont have a camera good enough to see them ... it ended up thet there pretty much the same color as the gravel... haha
 
I live in Dubuque since catfish creek is a big stream directly connected with the mississippy they could be a riverine specimen. but i dont know much about darters. i would not put them in your main tank. The mississippi is very dirty and has a lot of runoff from farms and sewage.
