dat compatability?

hi all i,ve got an ngt around 6" or so that i've had for 7/8 months would it be possible to add an indo dat to the same tank or would the ngt attack it ? i've read all sorts on these and it seems to be about 50/50 whether it would work or not what do you all think, i will go with the majority vote ! thanks for looking Paul

Depends on the tank size, and hiding spots. I would say get more then 1 indo, so any aggro is spread out

it would go in the 150 gal tank on my avatar that's why i only wanted one more

It should be ok in your size tank.... I have a 5 " NGT in my 100G with 8 other IT's. and even the NGT puts up a good fight with my 10" IT. No damage caused though.

To be safe, get at least 2 more IT's, then your ngt will not focus on one dat.

you may also have some luck w/ a big size difference. a much larger indo, or a significantly smaller indo may work. or as stated above go with a number of them. be aware though, that NGT can do alot of damage.

this is ade again, i mentioned i had 1 ingt and 6 indos. i actually got 2 ngt both same size. and i s constantaly bullied by the other, i got to move him NOW, as his side body is really battered up!!
so definatley NOT 2 ngt's...

i wasn't thinking of another ngt but maybe an indo or two like i used to have, if it won't work then i will have to try to find a spotted gar of the right size (6"+) instead
