Dat feeding

if you want a diet change u have to resist feeding them feeders. feeding them feeders and trying to change thier diet would never work. they will only go for feeders if they see them swimming around. plus its okay to starve them. they will give in to the food you want them to eat when u starve them. well hope that helps you.

Yeah im way past that now. that was about 3 months ago.. hes on krill now and working twords pellets but thanks for the input! :)

nice! i wish mine was on pellets haha. its hard to train them on pellets. but i wish you luck in trying to get them hooked on pellets. :headbang2
 
glad to hear it all worked out. I was wondering what the other fish was in the tank with the dat?

I would agree that they are not good tank mates, but at the moment they are in a 225G tank. I put the dat in there to have him be around other fast eating fish. I watched very carfully for anyone picking on him but not many did and the ones that did didnt continue. I think the length (8ft) of the tank helped with any agression. I do plan on moving him out of there some time in the near future, now that he is eating.
