Dat feeding

Can Dats live off of mostly Hikari gold pellets with the occasional feeder?

I mostly need to know if its even possible to starve my Dat into eating pellets, kinda like what I did with my aro.

I dont see why not .. its just the will of the owner. Starve it for a week and it should consume pellets like theres no tommorow. Hikari pellets are good staples but it would be better to give other food occasionally to make its diet varied.

Cut shrimps, culled fish , beefheart, nightcrawlers and fdkrill are good dat foods too.
