Dat Feeding ?

Well they eat frozen brine till there reallly really fat so at least there eating. Still kinda shy though. They hide in the back under the heater and dart out in a swarm for food. But ive kept a careful watch and all 8 are eating till they look like there going to explode. All are healthy and disease free also. (so far...keeping fingers crossed)
Another question... are mysis shrimp any better to feed them? They don't go nuts over them like they do brine by they do eat them fairly well. If there any better nutritionally I could switch over to them.
Also ive tried 2 diff brands of frozen blood worms and couldnt tell any difference.

Here's a picture of one of my dat's after feeding. They pretty much all look the same just this is the only one that would hold still long enough for me to get a good picture of. This fat enough?

wowwwww yours a reallly tiny!!! Keep em eating whatever they will touch for now... If they only eat brine shrimp now, feed em brine shrimp.. But variety is good for evry fish so ofcourse try mysis too. Eventually once they grow their appetites will increase, and they will try more foods..

So get them to 2 inches, and youve done better then most!:headbang2

so it is cool if i continue to feed the brine? i really havent changed their diet yet, besides a few mollies here and there.

Ok fed every possible frozen food last couple days BUT brine. They ate enough mysis not to starve but didnt like it. But after all the other foods I tried freeze dried krill again. There eating it like crazy now. From what i've read its better for them then brine shrimp. Will krill keep em growing and healthy till there big enough to fast and switch over to other foods?

Tried blood worms again with no luck again they just spit it out. I'm going to pick up some garlic extract later today as was suggested. Hopefully that works. Even though brine isint that nutritious the sheer amount there eating should keep them from actually starving shouldn't it? The 8 of them are eating till there bellys are swollen lol. Entire frozen cubes of it at each feeding.

try the hikari frozen ones if you havent........

Mine mow through brine, mysis, bloodworms, and glassworms. I always add Garlic Extract, to fend off parasites and promote feeding. Apparently it's an attractant.
