about the 24 inches...... 
they were around 20 inches not exactly 24 inches i just estimated. my friend that left the hobby had 2 at about 20 inches and wes had a humongous one that shoudl have been atleast 20 inches in his 300 gal wall tank. sorry i dont have any "proof". i guess u just gohta believe me.
