The DAT peeps can be a bit frustrating....From what i have read ST are extinct in most of its range but not all....Time will tell if there are no ST under 12". To assume there are none is just as idiotic!!

i think the ST peeps are afraid to de-value there prize fish! Personally i hope they find millions of them and they become as easy to find as oscars! When i was younger Tiger Oscars were like 200 bucks!

ST peeps :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

I would be so happy if they were not extinct in the wild

If the price of my ST dropped to $10 I wouldn't care as it's not for ever going to be for sale

The price of oscars has never been $200

I'm not one of those peeps :ROFL:Who have gone out and paid $500 + for a 16 inch ST just so they own one I have grown my ST from abbot 2 inch to the size it is now that's why I like it not because of the price tag I have been offered a lot of money for my ST but not even thought about selling

If loads of new baby ST did come up for sale I would help people grow them and even help ID the fish as there would be hundred of threads asking to ID ST from IT as they are hard to tell aparts by people

But the amount of threads we get to ID other types of tigers is crazy
This one for instance the OP ever posted the ID charts if you look at his fish then look at the charts it's easy to tell them apart

If you go to the ray section you never get someone post a picture of a leopoldi and ask for a ID after they already own the fish and it in their tank why because they are more expencive people do more research on them befor buying why don't people do as much reasurch on tigers.before they buy because they are cheap

There are no more true ST pulcher being fished in wild in Thailand. There have been 1 or 2 threads of widebar fished in Vietnam , but that is all . None under 12 ich. Even then the photo of that fish was in a tank. Karun recently picked up a 12 inch widebar.....
"Time will tell "....... U can stick that saying infront of anything .. And hope....

But currently at this time and for at least the 3-4 years, I can not remember seeing a ST under 12 inch.
