My dats has cloudy eye on oneside and I think fin rot on the other. The gills and the base of the fin is starting to turn red and he's losing his color fast. Besides medication what else can I do?

nope, but datnoids need good water quality or stuff like this will happen so I would say that your tank maintenance is rather relaxed to nonexistent...
so as stated above starting water changes and keep the nitrates below 20ppm...
