I have a USB flash drive that doesn't seem to get recognized properly by my pc.

The computer gives a message like this:

Windows USB Error

Same error when I plug into other pc's.

I've tried restarting pc's...unplugging from power supply.

A few friends suggested maybe a hardware problem.

Files on it aren't life or death, but it would be nice to have them.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated. (If you can help, just pm me and let me know what you want in exchange - should you be able to help)

Thanks,
Charlie

if u cant get Windows to recognize it. There is probably not much you can do.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I'm coming to.

Normally I back everything up, but left some "newer" docs on here without backing up.

It's ok though, just a few more hours of work :).

Best Buy's geek squad or a similiar repair/tech place will be able to retrieve the information, but it is going to be costly.
