HERE ARE SOME NOTES FROM VIDS 1 & 2:
NOTE**** THESE ARE JUST NOTES OF WHAT I WROTE DOWN FROM EACH VID
Vid 1:
Thai - "seuh thaw" tiger stump
Bung Borapetch - natural pond in thailand
When we count the time back 20 years ago...
This pond was meant for catching fish to sell - fisherman to make a living. "Nakonsavanh People"
But today; the natural population of everything is depleted...
Now there are people near the pond. And they are completely changing the environment.
Change from fisherman to a tour guide. - Occupation.
Man Interview:
The guy askes the man, did he ever catch fish, he said not only him but his dad too. everyday day he catch about 4-7kilo of fish. Right now there are only a few fisherman left not like before. The interviewer askes "biggest catch" the man said 6.5kilo(~13-14 pounds), interviewer said the price is about 100,000 bahd(~3000 us dollars)
Tiger Fish:
"Bung Borapetch" there used to be fishes there, but now they are completely gone. The meat is very sweet and the price is very high. when you catch one of these, the price is equal to 2-3bahd pure gold.(1 bahd gold is 340 us dollar). From everywhere in the country everyone was headed to the pond catch the fishes because they could make a fortune selling them...As the years go by, they finally caught so many they became extinct(san francisco gold mines) Near the end, no one has ever seen them again from "bung borapetch".
Vid 2:
Near the end, the government put a law to protect the tiger fish(from getting taken), but they allow you to breed. They submitted the law in year 2535(1992) for the protection of the tiger fish. It was accepted 10-7-1997 to prevent the tiger fish from being extinct.
Tiger History:
- pretty, costly, rare
- they are well known not only to the thai people but all over the world.
- you can find these tiger fishes in the south east asian countries(Indoneasian, "Burma" Myanmar, Thai, Cambodia, Vietnam) (Hot Areas)
- They are found mostly from bung borapetch, and the middle region of the Chao Phaya river in thailand.
- Even the eastern of thailand, Kong, chi, and moon river.
The guy interviewed: (Hobbyist)
Most of the ones they are raising are from cambodia and vietnam. the ones exported out of thailand are mostly in japan. He believes the ones from thailand are already extinct. He said they all look the same even in size but believes that the ones with more brighter yellow and deeper black bars are from thailand (heard from research).
After the interview the rest of the video explains the details about the fish(looks, size, color, physical detail "black bars" etc.).
Naturally they like clean deep waters and likes to hide under wood to ambush fish coming by for food. (thats why they are called the tigers)
