Datnoid and Archerfish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Archers and dats do fine together. They are also great dithers to help train your dats to take pellet food. Just check on what species of archer you have as some are fullfresh while others are high brackish. Heres a pic of my archer/dat combo

I bought 2 supposabley "fresh water" archers from wildwoods recently. I think they are "toxotes chatereus". Anyhow, the guy siad they were wild caught from fresh waters.
In my tank for 2 weeks now, eating very well and definately one of the more effective dither fish for tigers.

haha i was about to post a link to datnoid101's thread with that pic lol he's just on mfk 24/7 lol

I have this combo with no problems.
I have 1 archer in a 150g with (6) IT dats and (4) Ntt's....
No problems at all..

thanks for the replies guys. How are their growth rate compared to Datnoids though. Should they be biggers than the dats when introduced? I have a a 6 inch NTT so I'm trying to get an idea of how big it needs to be
