how long did it take for your big archerfish to get that size? I wanted to know how much of a head start i need to give the archer before I introduce dats or arowanas to the tank
About 2 years. I feel archers grow quite slow. If you can get bigger archers, go for it. Just keep in mind that archers dont do well during shipping and usually half the batch kills over. If you buy archers make sure that they have settled in and are eating. My dats are actually growing faster then my archers and the archers eat all the food! LOL!

guess i need to get some more dithers for my tigers. damn fatnoid is pickin on the little one something fierce now.

got any extra large dithers fs J?

yup, 24"+ silver aro or just grab some tinfoils and bala sharks! LOL! It works!

I have tinfoils and I dont like them. they eat all of the datnoid's food. Either tinfoils are too aggressive of an eater, or the datnoid is too slow. I'm still tryin to figure it out

i don't know to much about archers i thought they were a brackish water fish

if they are brackish water then you should be able to keep silver tigers AT without any problems

but if its IT or ST you have then they are meant to be a FW fish

cambelli NGT are meant to be a brackish water fish but i have never hurd of anyone keeping them in brackish water even were they are fished

if you keep any kind of fish in the wrong water conditions it wont grow as well and chances are it will get sick a lot

Any type of floating pellet, some sinking and anything freeze dried or frozen. They eat almost anything that hits water
Thanks man. My archers are on FD shrimp and hikari food sticks.
