Just picked up a ntt he's about 2 inches he's with a 3" severum, I have a foresty background and I have a bottle of seaclear, I was just wondering what would accent the dat's colors more as he's still unstable, a black background or a forest background? I might also get a 3" silver dat, anyone know if there are any compatability issues there?

Some say blue is the best, some say black, some say something else. I do not think there is a correct answer.

There should not be any compatability issues between NTT, and AT, unless you plan on adding salt for the Silver.

well i use a black back. it all depends on the person.

My NTTs are mostly unstable as of now, with a black background. The AT's don't seem to mind, and 4/6 of them are usually stable.

I have all known species of dats together in one tank, except for the STwhich I dont have, they all range from three to six inches in size and they get along pretty well.Good luck with your NTT and keep an eye on its gill cover.

NTT's for some reason are very succeptible to gill flukes and other parasites for more info read my posting a few lines down.

the background is a personal preference if you ask me. i don't have one in my tank...so i guess my background would be my drywall and stairs... my fish don't seem to mind as they are stable most of the time.

you shouldn't have any compatability issues with the ntt and silver
