Datnoid Dilemma!

Great Sick sounds like a good strategy I will try it. So I assume by your answer that you think I should leave all the fish in place?

Your Oscar gona eat or kill your datnoid and the O gona out complete your dat for food. If it was up to me Ill get more Datnoids, barbs and get rid of the other two. Grow out your dats with the Barbs and hopefully the Barbs will keep them stable. I always Go with your Gut feeling

I had a Dat I got at 4" that died at 13" He only ate shrimp when I got him. I got him to eat FD krill, and he wouldn't eat shrimp anymore. I never got him on pellets. I starved him for 5 weeks one time. He ate a total of 4 massivore in 3 years. My point is, krill isn't always a gateway drug.

So your saying just keep him on the FD Krill as he may never switch to pellets?
 
I would definetly get rid off all you're fish except the dat and that comment gave me a good laugh lol ^

No, keep trying to get on pellets. A variety of foods is best.

No one method is Best, Mines has work for me so far. I too have a Dat that only eats Shrimp and Krill, Not all Dats are the Same. With Most animals repetition is key to any "Training" The smaller the Datnoid the Better your chance at Pellet Training.
 
Any ideas if I get rid of the Indo Dat, if I could replace him with a fish which would work with the 5in oscar and 4in jag? Again, its a 100gal. Thanks Guys.
