eat it because its best to eat than get sent to jail for exporting a banned fish

These vids are over 2 years old so the ban wasn't in effect then so they must just love to eat them but it may be the case now.

Yea i know, but why eat it when you can sell it for $,$$$!
People pay more for a fish to eat than to keep in a tank. Only the rich eat exotic foods. Why eat bush meant, or shark fin soup? I konw a least 2 restaurants that sell wild food. I've never been in them but they're always busy.
I think the vids are older than 2 years because the lake is called Bungborpetch and there is a reserch facilityy there which is trying to breed the ST. The have not reported a single wild fish in over 5 years.
I guess the problem is fishermen were catching the large ones for sale in to restaurants, and also catching babies for export. unsustainable fishing at its best.

When I met Andy P. In march 2008, I remember asking Boo (in Canterbury) if he could order me a widebar. At that point I remember him saying ...no chance....due to restrictions from Singapore and Thailand. He
didn't mention Vietnam or Cambodia.
They were round £300 about that time. I think 2 years is close maybe 3 years.

£300 at that time yes and the smallest you could get from Singapore was 12 inch i should know as i ordered 4 from there myself before george

the bad boy i have now was the last ever small ST i saw in the UK and that was 7 years ago now

The vid is probably older than 2years cause they still call IT's ST's and dont talk about them as 2 different fish.

^ They do. They differentiate between all Dats. Intdo tiger, Cambodian tiger, Vietnam Tiger.
I didn't watch any last night because i worked late.

Oh cause in the first vid or second they talk about ITs and they have ST's showing at the moment but then again you speak the language so ill take your word on it.

They're showing lots of asian Dats but talking about STs from Bungborapetch in Nakorn sawan. The fat guy in the second vid says what is different about STs and cambodian, viet Dats. I need to watch more. My problem is when the normal people are talking i understand because they're using informal language but when the comentator starts i loose it quicky because he's using formal language i'm not used to.
