wake up turn the light on the dat is beautiful stable colors, and feeding. he turns to the right and on his left side on and above his bottom rear fin is a small discolored area that def. is infected. i cant find the disease and will post pic tommorrow. it looks like a nasty sore. any ideas

sounds like what my datnoid had, I believe its a disease in the blood I forget the name. is it red at all on or near the infection?

I had two dats get the same thing you need to inject the dat with beytrol antibiotic ASAP before it spreads.

K, mine had this for a good week before I even noticed it was something horrible. I thought it was a scratch from fighting but it turned out to be much worse, I believe its a disease in the blood or something around those lines, but I need to see a pic to make sure Its the thing i'm talking about. If i dont respond its because I fell asleep, I'll try my best to stay up and help you out.

If its the disease in the blood, I belive they make a medicine you can either inject or treat in the water.

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like what my fish had. I'd wait for some other people to post so you can get more oppinions, I'll be on tomorrow morning so I'll update and read what happens. Best of luck to you, and I hope that thinbar makes it.
