Just replaced the heaters recently, had that voltage prob too. As far as meds go, I added the pimafix (regret) since its helped cure some infections with my saltwater fish. Since the dats have been scratching around alot lately, thought it might help any infections due to damage. Regret adding it now, which is why I was going to do the WC.
The bulging (super inflated) stomach on my dat is gone, must have passed the pig through. They all still seem skittish, so i'll still be keeping a close eye on them for disease/parasites.
As for the salt, I started adding it a few months ago, so i'll take your advice and just stick to that.
