i had this guy for a 6 months at most got him at 2 inches and now 4 inches. he used to chase around 2 id sharks but when i moved the id sharks to my pond he had no one to pick on so he started chase my aro which is 8 inches. now aro hides in filter and is not active but looks healthy and eats a little bit. when he sees the dat he always hides even though dat is smaller. i think is my dat doing this do you think so. if it is the problem i will put dat in pond with big id sharks.
 
perhaps you need more dithers, not less? Spread the aggression around.
 
I agree with the above. Get some fish for the dat to focus on if not he will just target the aro over and over again.

I would go with Bala sharks and/or silver dollars. Great dithers.
 
Lol,at least the dat is not hiding away somewhere most of the time which is what a lot of them like to do.Sounds like this guy has a pretty good growth rate,what are you feeding it?

dats a indonesian dat. how about i put the trouble maker in my pond. since i do not want to overstock my tank
