My 3 Dats used to be hiders before. I recently added a Jag to give the Dats an arch enemy. Doing a pretty good job with two of them already.

I guess for you since you have a bold Dat all he needs is a group of barbs or two Bala sharks depending on your tank size.

sorry but i put dat in pond then arowana became extremely active now he is eating as well. i guess arowana was stressed out by dat

aro is 8 inches gets bullied by 4 inch dat. i put the dat in pond cause my tsn that almost died i will be bringing him home from lfs and i dont want this dat to bully him. although dat is very nice

I've never kept dats but all the ones I've seen at 4" seem to be shy yours must be aggresive one prob will see the tsn off if had put them together , your aro a silver ? I've just seen a couple of battered female jags 3/4" in lfs toying with the idea of grow up and bit of tlc to get a female for my 10" msle , it'll take a while though

Dude: In all of the threads you have started that I have read, you seem to be looking for advice and opinions on what you are doing. It doesn't seem like you want it? It was suggested tgo get dither fish for your Dat like silver dollars but you have moved the fish. Dats are not aggressive fish. Why not listen to experienced keepers? We are glad to help you, but get annoyed when you ask for and ignore help. Good luck.

Tell em like you mean it Rodger!

I agree with Rodger. Dats are typically only aggressive towards their own species and normally not aggressive enough to others to warrant the reaction your aro was having.

So is his Aro exaggerating and being a wuss?
