It just takes time people..... I reckon years to get light sensitive dats to remain stable under bright light....especially the Indo tigers.

x2 i use one blue light and one regular white light, didnt like when i just used the 2 white bulbs because it looked more brownish than white, so the mix looks more natural. i have my tank on a timer from 3-9pm. they still kinda freak out a little when the lights first turn on, but give them 5 min and they are back to swimming around.

definitely try using dimmer lighting, in the beginning i wrapped the bulbs with cloth to dim them since i couldnt find any bulbs lower than 40w. they're probably going to spaz out the first few weeks u use the lighting, but its just all part of the process. helps if you have some dither fish that arent shy in the light because the dats eventually get curious and forget about the lighting.
it will take time for them to get used to light.

Just use the lights you like your the fishkeeper after all and fish don't make the choice in what you feed or the lighting they will just need to get used to the things the way you do them

Couldn't agree more, but not everyone has that patience or will power, so they come to mfk for hints and tips ;)

I was keeping aro and rays before MFK or even before the Internet for that matter

I just feed what I want and use what lights are easy to get hold of

If some tells you that you need to use one type of light that you can't get hold of it's not the end of the world if you can't find that light

Unless you are going to spend big $$$$$ on some fancy light set like the marine keepers use then you won't be able to replicate the natural day night cycle
