well i had a datnoid for about a month now and i have been complaining about how it keeps hiding. so today i boutght 3 more widebars and added it to the tank. and that lil sh*t is still hiding but the 3 new ones are all swimming around. anyone have even a clue wassup with it? is it sick?

I imagine he feels threatend. Dats can take a while to warm up to their new tanks. Give him time, but just watch out for the others harrasing him.

I had one like that when i had dats back in the day. I had 5 in the tank altogether, and one hid in this large rock. When he finally croaked, I didnt know it for a couple days. I noticed when he didnt come out for feedings. I think the fish is just really skittish. Or maybe hes paranoid

anyone know about what size do they start coming out of hiding spots and actually swim around

Mine actually hides but, I hand feed mine he waits for me once it gets dark at the corner of the tank for food ands hes about 3-4 inches now
