Datnoid Question/Help?

My Indo Dat ate my Firemouth. The tail of the Firemouth is sticking out a little. It looks like the Dats mouth is stuck or locked open. Does this happen? If it is "stuck" can they fix it on thier own? I dont know for sure yet if it is stuck or locked. Any advise or experience with this situation would be appreciated.

it will close back once it is swallowed. Some people feed their dats crays and they do that to kill their fish before swallowing.
