black aro the killer!
Mix them up dude...very nice!

so the Black Aro killed the smaller Silver. Mix them up? meaning different Dats of different sizes???? or mix silver and Black Aro's?????

any idea why i can't seem to keep NTT dats alive? i have a 4" IT and 6 micro Dats that have grown from 1/2" to 1.5"-2" but i have ordered 2 NTT's that were both approx 4" (two seperate orders) and both died. if the pH is okay for the IT's then it should be okay for the NTT's, right? neither of the NTT's were skinny and starved looking when i pulled them out of the tank.

thanks for everyone's help

Different tigers of different sizes in a group do well.

I too have no luck with ntt. I be bought quite a few ntt since 2008 and hardly hardly any survived.
They tend to be the shyest, like to hide the most, and usually get beaten if challenged by Indos .
It's a shame cause they are a beatific tiger

i agree, i like the NTT's thin bars and would really like to have one but i think i'll just pass. i don't think the IT was pressuring the NTT but who knows. the first one i had did hide all the time (i only had it for 2 weeks) the second one was upside down in the bag when it arrived and managed to live about a week before it died.
so that means i need to try a NGT? but i'm not sure as i like the crisp clean lines better than the blurred lines of the NGT...... maybe just stick with IT's, i have enough if i put all 6 babies in my main tank.

i mean mix different dats in the same tank...provided you have a lot hiding spot in the tank...currently i have NTT in my tank..most of the time hiding in a cave...only comeout for food. sorry for your lost..

Here is a look at what i've got started. haven't updated in a while. my fish seem to know when i've got the camera :) They run and hide for the most part.

so do you guys think i can/should add my 6 small IT's to the 500 now? they are about 1 to 1.5" long and eating blood worms and mysis shrimp. i feed them twice a day in my 29 but i also feed my Loaches twice a day in my 500, they would have to compete for food. or should i just keep them in the 29 until they are switched over to pellets?
