Datnoid with worms on body?

identify the worm. If they're anchor worms prazi may not kill them. You'll need diflubenzurone aka dimilin. Or the new version dimilin X. Parasite guard by tetra also contains it, along with 3 other ingredients (prazi, Metro, acriflavone) that are a bit overkill together imo and costs a lot because you have to buy in tab packets. Dimilin cheap online. Anchor worms spilt and have two "tails" on them

If it's planaria, nearly nothing will kill them. You'll have to reduce feeding, increase cleaning and keep water super fresh and wait. They're numbers will die down as the food sources dwindle. They're not parasitic. They can cruise on fish but won't imbed like anchor worm. Seen mostly on the glass and swimming in water.

Hard to see anything in picture. Easier to see when in water.

Any way to tell what kind of worms they are? They look imbedded. I'm not big into using medicine but I will go the dimilin route if needed, I need to kill them quick before it gets worse.

Do the bodies of the worms split into a Y shape at the tip? The part that is hanging out of the body?

The head will be anchored between scales usually, sometimes a reddish bump where they are anchored into the fish.

Do you notice worms elsewhere in the tank? Walls and in water?

Haven't seen any other worms except on the 2 dats, and I can't tell if they split, doesn't look like it.

Id give it another day to see if prazi helps. If it spreads or doesnt get better id get dimilin X ASAP it's like 15 bucks on eBay or amazon and enough to last a lifetime. Can you post some in tank shots close up of the worms? I have to tell you i'm not a pro. Just an enthusiast who's owned and unfortunately lost a fair shareof fish over the years so I try to remember what's worked in the past for what ailments.

I'm betting aquanero or someone with more expertise than myself will chime in soon. Especially if you can get us close up picks.
