I was just wondering if the water was in fact brackish which it must be since the tank is filtered separate from the other tanks....Slow acclimation to fresh water,as I said in my post should do as far as putting the dat in the fifty five or the twenty nine...drip or bag method could be done in under an hour.Some may disagree just as there are those who don't feel that AT should be kept in freshwater.

Really, under an hour. I was thinking it would be a long process. If that's the case I won't even bother with the 29g and put him right into the 56g. As far as adding a ropefish, any foreseeable problems there. The dat is about 3" and the ropefish I have been looking at is about 8".

I've never had a ropefish so I can't say too much about them but I think the two fish will probably ignore each other.
