how could they die during a 1/2 hour bus ride? because of the cold or because there was no air in the bag?
if you only have the money for 2.. get 1. because they will fight

Because of the cold. So i am thinking of getting 1 and keeo him with Poly's n something else.

no fish will starve themselves to death. well some but not all. i starved my datnoids when i got them, for about almost a month. so whenever they are hungry they stare at me and come in front of the tank. other wise i dont feed them. first start them off with mysis shrimp and bloodworms. then krills after they got a taste of shrimp, throw in some market shrimp. then stuff the shrimp with some pellets. after that just feed them pellets. now all my datnoids eats pellets and saves me alot of money. except for 2 thinbars.

Im ok with feeding Bloodworms, krill, marketshrimps. I dont mind how expensive the food is, i just want them too be happy.

I have 3-10"+wide bars. Two got along well. The third had to be moved. He lost color and cowered. He's ok now in another tank. He's wierd anyway. He hangs at the top of one corner, like he's waiting for food. He's well fed. As far as starving, two of my small American Dats died when I tried the starving thing. They only wanted feeders.The lonley wide bar will eat frozen shrimp if I give him a feeder first. I think he's coming around to eat shrimp.
