Datnoids in a 155?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've had my it about 6 years and I bought him at about an inch from a tank of mixed fish for £2
He Has never grown fast, after 3-4" I've not noticed his growth at all

He is about 12" now and will live with anything not silver(he killed my dollars and ode pike)
He is with ploys at the min and thats a good combo, looking for a gar next so I will have top middle and bottom covered

Mattstevens1, 155 gallon is a bow front right? Such as a 6 foot long by 25" High with 17" on each side and the center at 25" front to back?

If they're one inch grow outs. I would get as many as you can and only keep the ones you want or all. Bloodworms are the staple for my 12 grow outs. They do grow pretty fast up to 4" if on a tilapia or shrimp diet (mine are). There are threads out which state a growout can reach 6" to 8" in a year I believe.

I've kept n grown out 4 indos in a 120g, 5ft x 18"...I picked them all up at different times and sizes. They still not full grown, but still growing. I'm sure having only an 18" 120g has stunted their growth rate at this point, but hav 6", 7", 10", n a fat 13"...With your tank Dimensions, Id feel safe with five IT's. As far as other tankmates for them, I've kept other Dats with Gar, Silver Dollars, Flagtails, bichir, clown loaches
