Then feel free to put your ST IT and NTT in brackish water and see what happens for yourself since you won't listen. Don't bother asking the question if you won't listen to the answrt

out of curiosity what info do you have backing up your opinion?
You seem adament like you have definitive knowledge so post it up :)

I just think if you're going to be that blunt you should be prepared to show proof to avoid appearing rude ;)

i agree i have kept IT in 0.005(couple of years ag was sold as AT) and there were no negative effects, i still have the fish now in fresh and it is the same as it was.
due to how closly related they are to a brackish fish they will prob be fine in a very low salinity but i would't risk going any higher with the sg

:iagree::iagree:
yup

ST, IT, NTT are all fresh water fish. People may have luck keeping them in slightly brackish conditions in the home aquarium, but that does not make them brackish fish. Putting a fresh water fish in brackish water can cause health problems, as they do not have the ability to process large amounts of salt. This can greatly reduce the life span of your fish as well. Stunted growth is another issue you may see.

If you are set on having a brackish tank, I would go with a AT or NGT. These are the only species that can be found in brackish conditions in the wild.
