Human error seems like the only way we lose fish now a days.

Glad to hear that you plan on having life back in that 240 one day. I will be looking out for your build/plans.

So true that us here @ MFK can truly simpathize the magnitude of this incident better then family and friends that do not have the same love for Monster Fish. MFK for life.
 
So sorry for your loss... can't even being to fathom how you must feel losing all those beautiful fish... either way, as some have already said take a short break and gather your thoughts, then when your ready re-build a new and better tank...
 
The Sad thing vanamate is that I have done the same thing to one of my tanks but when I set a heater too high and it when in turbo mode. About 120° cooked all my fish. I feel for you sir. Hang in there.
