I know, but (from what I've seen) normally when an aro is that old, it is a lot more than 20", though now that I think of it, there was a silver aro that a chinese restaurant near me used to have that was probably well over a decade old and was only about 24", so I guess it is possible, but I still think his aro looks longer than 20".

the tank size also will throw one off...it is in a 6' and will look longer then in an 8' tank...i wouldn't doubt it to be 24" or so, but those things make it deciving...
 
the large arowana is about 20 inch long he just has a very thick body,much thicker body than any of the silver i have ever owned. about 20 inch long but from his top to bottom is about 6-7 inch
