Dats in NJ

most dats are unstable in the store...

LOL, i'm fimilar with dats.

no these were unstable 24/7, they were so brown, that you could hardly make out the stripes. i've ask 2 of the workers about it, neither one of them have seen them stable in the 7 months its been in the store. not once........

whatever, doesnt matter at this point.....

If your talking about the indos at the shark aquarium I bought the only stable one. Yellow and black 24/7

The 2 large one are stable??? They were always black they are now $125 only one left.
I got one of the smaller ones 4" but I already sold it because of aggression problems.

I got an indo from shark aquarium about a month ago. And he was not too stable in the tank there, but as soon as I put him in my 125g tank he turned bright yellow almost instantly. He has been stable ever since, and he is in the tank with some very aggresive cichlids for now(flowerhorns, green terror, and africans). He actually bullies the flowerhorns sometimes. Im moving him to my new 150g set up this weekend, which I currently have (3) 1.5" thinbars from FRP, and will be adding another 2" indo in a couple weeks when I return from vacation.

Whats up Rook45?? Are you the guy that sold me my indo at Shark Aquarium? I was talking to a guy in there when I got my indo, and he said that he got the only stable indo in the tank. Are u him??? Did u get you new tank yet?

I recently found a dat at a local pet store and it was only for 15 dollars so I bought it thinking it was steal. I was even maybe thinking of trying to sell him on MFK.

The little guy has grown on me and I really want to maybe buy some more, but I haven’t been able to find anymore.

So if anyone is in NJ and knows LFS that can sell dats for under 30 dollars

Personally, I'd do like 5 up to 10 if it's only for a year,.......... then upgrade to at least 120g,............. but that's just me, they do good in schools

others may feel different

The only reason i ask is i know they are rather slow growers so i figured i would get smaller ones and as they get bigger give them up. There are some lfs that will take that who i have already spoken too, But i will also put them up for sale on here.


But back on topic.
I e-mailed sharks about a week aog and they said they would be getting 2-3 inch dats in from bangkok in about 2 weeks.

so a heads up for anyone eles.
