Dats

That might be why I never needed any dithers to make my dats feel more comfortable.I rarely turn on my tank lights.

My Dats are much better colored up in the mornings when it is just ambient sunlight. In the evenings when the lights are on, they aren't normally stable. The baby Dats are the dithers in my tank.

Well I kinda have to turn the light on because the tank is in the basement..

As are mine but I just turn on the basement lights and that's good enough in the evening.Sometimes during the day there is enough sunlight coming through the windows that I don't need to turn on the lights.

OP, throw a similar sized leporinus in there and it will shake things up for sure...but it won't hurt your dats.

Mine are super active and beg for pellets always! mine are its 1-1.5" 1 100% stable other is like 66% :p. I love em can't wait for monsters!

You'll be waiting a while lol. I wonder if they're slow growers in the wild too

That's what everyone is saying but I think it's because most never get on pellets until a decent size. Mine were on pellets from the start. I got mine a month ago .5" now ones ~1.5 growing noticeably fast for me. Way faster then my festae did :/

They grow fairly quick when small. Once they reach 6-7" it's an 1" a year
