Normally my offshore trips involve only fish, but this time we were visited by turtles, bottle nose dolphin, and spotted bottle nose dolphin. I wasn't able to get any pics of the dolphin but one breached doing a back flip and two were swimming under our boat as we were trolling.

Here is another one. We saw four sea turtles which is very unusual. I have seen only three other sea turtles my entire life, and this trip there were four.

:D should have caught it and taken it home

Here is a really cool and weird fish. It is called a ribbon fish. If my 250g was not occupied, I'd turn it into a salt setup for these guys. Instead, I cut this guy up and turned him into bait :D

And here is a nice Spanish Mackeral that I caught on a homemade lure...
...I made the lure with a piece of wire and some shoe laces

The one in the fish's mouth is the one on the lower left corner of the box.

This one is a King Mackeral. They get bigger than the Spanish Mackeral and don't have any spots.

And here's a couple of Atlantic Sharp Nose Sharks from a previous trip a few weeks ago. We caught plenty of sharks this time but didn't take any pics of them.

Sea turtles are protected. I caught one in the Gulf of Mexico last year and didn't know what to do with him. He swallowed the hook and I didn't want to just turn him loose. But to posses one means a huge fine and the Marine Patrol loves to take boats.

...I cut the line :(
