oh yeah i think that weird fish that you used as bait was a lancetfish.

Looks like a great time. I'd love to go fishing on the ocean sometime.

if you look closely at the snapper next to the warsaw gourper (black one) its missing all the scale on its tail section. That happened when we pulled it out a !@$#$@# dolphins mouth. Hate dolphins so lazy.

Ya did a nice haul on those snappers. On the Atlantic side, red snappers have been going crazy on the Party Grounds, Turtle Mound, and Mangrove Hole. That's cool that you caught those dolphin. I haven't seen a single one all year. Did that red get hit by a dolphin (fish) or a dolphin (porpoise)? We had that problem with sharks this time.

I haven't posted in a while...I thought I mentioned the trip when our prop fell off 22 miles off shore...I guess that was around my cut off point for updates. I haven't been fishing in over a month but we went to East Eleven again this past Sunday. The fishing was really slow and nearly everything was undersized. When we hit the docks, some guys told us about the active spots. We did ok on vermillion snappers though; we brought home 8.

Downers for this trip was that while I was grinding chum, something huge took one of my rods for a swim. :irked: I liked that rod. Then later when I was sandbagging the chum, I dropped the blender overboard :irked::irked:

man almost lost my favorite catfish rod once. chased it into the water and grabbed it. The catfish weighed 22 pounds!!!!!!!! It bent out my hooks. Also it was a porpoise. if it was a mahi mahi we would have gaffed the mahi mahi while puuling in the snapper.
