Just had a betta die in a 55 gallon community tank.I had tried to quarintine him in a small 1/2 gallon container, but he didnt make it. It was weird, he was floating vertically, like he wsa looking at the surface, and then he would go spastic, then back to floating.
He has expired in the small container, but he is floating in a position which he would if he was alive, he is just not moving. He began loosing color in his tail fins, and from his mouth to just behind his gills, it was turning a whitish color. What does that mean.
Also, he has a yellowish color coming out of his body near his gills now....almost looks like iodine...what is that?
