The intent of this is not to be macabre but rather to share some of the sad moments in fish keeping. I have always found this site to be very supportive in these times.

I have been keeping bichirs for 10 years now and have lost 2 over that time period.

Number one was my first ornate who slipped by a tank divider and bumped into my normally docile jag.
Number two was my first endli who found a 3/4" gap in the top of the tank and went skydiving.
Both very painful losses of which I hope not to ever have repeated.

poor ornate :( sorry about both of your loss...that endli has some pretty narrow stripes.

i had a regular poly senegal for almost 8 months, coolest lil fella n it was my first. grew to a strong 9" then jumped out a hole but my dad called me n told me about it. he said he heard it flapping n tossed it back in. when i came home he seemed ok so i didn't think much of it. 2 days later i couldn't find him n i thought my shortnose gar ate him :( . 2 weeks later i found a skeleton in the sump of a 9" senegal :( now i havea 6" ornate n im havin a hardtime keepin him alive. my rtc keeps tryin to make a short snack out of him.
