the next worry, is will the remaining 2 start beating on each other, it happens all the time-
and since were mentioning it, I lost 2 blacks this year- they were 18" and 20"- and each time one died the aggression grew more and more in the tank
I got better luck with black aro... Even when I have only two in the tank, they don't fight. Can't say the same with Leichardti or other aros

I totally understand. Our silver jumped at 22" long. And what's worse is it was our fault for forgetting to put the cover back on the tank. We got distracted and ended up going out somewhere and forgot all about it. Came home to him on the floor completely dead :( .
We put a lot of work into him, raised him from about 4", and he was healthy and beautiful.

I would honestly cry if my silver died

I DID cry. I was totally distraught when I came home to that. I actually put him back in the water in hopes that he was just stunned or something from hitting the floor and I wouldn't take him out and admit he was dead for like 2 hrs.

This was mine.

Very nice silver... I stil have a silver in there too. All four aros of then never shown any agression. Just keep them all well fed.

Sorry to read, these days are not good when it comes to monster fish
