I have a 115 Gallon with a stocked bioload. Right now I only have 1 AC110 and 1 AC70 and my ancient fluval 403 just sprang a leak.

My ideas for a replacement:
xp3, eheim 2217, or an FX5 but I think it would be overkill.

Dang sorry to here. Mind shipping me out the other filters you won't be using lol unemployment blows. Cmon job!

Overkill never hurt anything.

If you like that fluval 403 and $ is an issue, try fixing it.

If you have $ to burn, get an FX5 and throw the leaking filter into the dumpster

I'd go with an Fx5. I actually run one with an Eheim 2026 on my 90 gallon tank.

the fluval was free. I don't mind shelling out the $$ if the fx5 is really as good as everyone says, but it will cost the same as like 2 eheims or xp3s

I mention this everytime, build a DIY wet/dry filter.......I have built one for a 125 for under $60.............As for your current setup:

Keep the AC101, add another AC101.......Drop the Ac70 and place it on a smaller tank, possibly a feeder breeder of Convict cichlids.........Love the 403, I have owned one in the late 80's to early 90's.........Don't throw it, keep it running on the tank for biological filtration, the AC101's will handle the mechanical filtration..........

DIY is too loud and it will take up nearly all of the space.
