Did you add any new tankmates?
Did you do anything to your filter lately?
when was the last time you cleaned out your filter materials?
Try and do a check on Anmonia, nitrites and Nitrates levels to be certain of water conditions.

If not ammonia, I'm curious to know how you added the salt to the water exactly.

take it out now and do massive water changes ... monitor your tank for ammonia spikes. Rays decompose real fast and that might affect the other remaining rays.

Did you notice aggression from your other tankmates? What were your parameters like when she died? ammonia nitrates ? nitrites???

damn you know what redtailfool the pup i tried to save for wal-mart die with same type of symptoms. they where in the same tank. i did a massive water change laaaallllaaaa on and on she was ok..... the damn pup must of illed her up.

they have small sharp ,teeth -like structure (made of cartilage i believe ) near the mouth. you can see it come out when they eat.
