Well my small aro will only take crickets and meal worms, and I have noticed that some uneaten cricket have made it past the filter pad and have died in the media (bioballs). I can see about 6 of them decaying. They are deep down in there so it is not like I can just reach in and take them out.
Should I remove the media and take them out, or just leave them alone?
The tank is a 300g with a 150G sump.

I change about half the water weekly also.

I am surprised the young aro won't take krill. I would remove as much decaying matter as possible, as it will increase your bioload.

Remove them IF your not disturbing the media too much, otherwise leave them and fix the filter media so it doesn't keep happening.

I got 2 at the same time and one of them is a little BI@*H. Refused even feeders.
Here is a pic of the sump. You can see them waaay on the bottom. I think I will just let them be and decay into smaller pieces, and hope they will fall apart. Any input?

I wouldn't worry about it. I have small shrimps fall into my sump all the time. Just do a little bigger of a water change next time. time to put that huge sump to work

funny pounder... or they could just give me the aro--that will end the problem haha:D

the way my sump is set up i have a lagre pre filter mat mater that is down from tube i notice some uneaten crickets i remove asap
