Dead crickets in sump!!!

I also have foam as a particle filter, problem is I think they are alive in there for a while. Then they run around and fall into the filter.:irked:
 
Given the volume of water and the vast amount of biofiltration you have, these guys should pose no real threat as they slowly break down. The bioload from your fish will far surpass the bioload from these few decaying crickets.

This is about 390G+ of watyer were talking about. So how could a few small crickets pose any threat compared to a few large cichlids after a big meal?
 
it's gross, but i don't think it matters as far as water quality. whether as whole crickets or as digested crickets, they would have ended up in the water anyway.
