+1 If you did everything correctly as it seems you did, then it seems that their deaths were not preventable. Meaning whatever killed them, came from a different point of origin...since you are positive your parameters were perfect. I would investigate the LFS or source of these bichers.

Does he/she have any lesions or what so ever on his body? If not, have you tried opening him up to see if there is any internal damage? A couple of weeks ago my 8" Retropinnis suddenly died so i decided to cut him open, I found out that his gall bladder had sort of ruptured and his bile is all over his internal organs all ready sipping through his tissues and what not.
Neither one of them ha red on them and neither one had any marks/signs of being bullied or harassed .... I'm guessing they had a disease of some kind when I bought them ..... I just hope the one I just got doesnt die the same way

Are you getting them all from the same store/person? Can you get one that is not from the same source as the 2 that died? If it also dies, then you open up the possibility that perhaps it is not the fish, but rather something in your set-up.
Are you acclimating properly...I wonder if you could get the water parameters from the person who sold them. Maybe something is different enough between yours and his that is causing this. Tough one...good luck.

I got them all from the same storethe store is the only place that can get bichirs other than Senegals ....the 2 that died lived in my tank for 2 weeks b4 they atarted ahowing symptoms/died ...

... But te only thing out of all of those I have personally saw them eat was blood worms twice and a red worm torn in half once in the 2 weeks I having them that is all I saw them eat
And the one I just recently bought to replace them I haven't saw eat yet unfortunately
